DESCRIPTION OF SOCIO-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN
Abstract
Social emotional development is one aspect of development that is very important for every child because it is one of the determining factors for his future success. Elementary school children, namely children aged 6-12 years, have a stronger physique, have individual characteristics and are active and do not depend on their parents. This school-age period becomes the core experience of children who are considered to be responsible for their own behavior in relationships with peers, parents and others. Therefore, the child's growth and development process must always be considered so that it runs optimally. This research is a library research. The purpose of this study is to explain; 1) Definition of Socio-emotional Development; 2) the characteristics of the social emotional development of elementary school children, 3) the emotional and social development of elementary school age children;
